Everything in this house is incredible! We own three high end rentals and stay at 10+ rentals a year and this one of the best we've stayed in. is perfect for a group of families. Plenty of space, fully stocked kitchen and then some, outdoor grill, pool, and everything was clean and well kept!

dyI always try to rent with Palmetto Dunes because they are very professional and have a great staff. The house worked perfectly for the 11 ladies on my tennis team. It is nicely renovated with comfortable beds and furniture. The gathering spaces worked well with very comfortable seating. The large dining area accommodated our group with room to spare. We had a big problem with the upper refrigerator temperature; however, the palmetto dunes property mgmt. accommodated us as best they could. The home was wonderful!

My family loved staying here! The home is beautiful, clean, and has plenty of space. The backyard was incredible and so relaxing, even in the winter time. The location is excellent. Short walk to the beach and short drive to anything you’ll ever need. Unfortunately, our time at this home was cut short due to something out of anyone’s control but the resort was quick in their resolution and very professional. I wish I could give this home 6 stars; it was perfect.

This home was absolutely perfect for our one-week stay with two other couples. The layout allowed us all to have privacy in our own wing of the house. The gathering areas were large and very comfortable for the six of us. The round table in the kitchen was great for our game nights and the large table was perfect for meals. Each couple cooked one meal at night and we found the kitchen to be more than adequately stocked. The home was updated and very clean. The towels, though, were quite old and scratchy and should be replaced. The location was perfect for us as we could ride bikes up to the pickleball courts and also to the beach! We plan to go back with our two grown children and their families. When the weather is warmer they will love the pool and there is definitely enough space for all!

Large house with lovely picture windows overlooking water. We saw lots of water birds and deer every day. It would have been nice to use the gas logs in the fireplace on chilly days.

Outstanding facilities from the spacious home with pool(critically important ) to the easy access to beach,golf , and excellent dining. Perfect for folks with large family of 6/8/10 Spectacular grounds which are meticulously maintained. We caught the best weather 75-80 with no humidity. Great access to savannah. I would definitely go back and consider purchasing a home. The home we rented was fantastic, highly recommend it.

Our family of 13 had a wonderful experience staying at 2 Down Wind. The house was ready early and was clean and beautiful. The pool was a hit with the kids. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, tools, etc which made preparing big family meals a breeze. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We look forward to coming back in the future!

The property is exactly as pictured and the layout is perfect for a large family. It was tastefully furnished with each bedroom providing a comfortable space to relax. We had a family of 12 and most of our indoor time was spent in the kitchen and living room areas where there is more than adequate seating for 12. The kitchen was well stocked with everything required to prepare your culinary delight. There was plenty of patio seating and the pool itself was larger than other homes we've stayed at. The pool was well maintaned and cleaned on a regular basis during our stay. We had no real issues to speak of however customer service was quick to respond when we had a question. I highly recommend this property and will certainly consider for future stays.

Overall lovely stay at this property! Visited in late April and the weather was beautiful. We’ve stayed in Palmetto Dunes many times and normally rent on Sea Lane. That property wasn’t available and we found this house and weren’t disappointed! Quick bike ride to the beach or a leisurely 10-12 minute walk which was quite nice in April weather. The house itself was extremely clean and newly remodeled. Spacious floor plan that divided three bedrooms on one side of the house and two on the other side. The only drawback was the coffee maker wasn’t operating the best resulting in grinds in the pot and there also weren’t any filters. Most rentals at least have filters. A Nespresso or Keurig would be a nice addition. One last thing to note is that you will need to pack or buy extra soap, dishwasher pods, detergent, cleaning supplies and all food. We did finally find a salt and pepper shaker towards the end of our stay. Some houses have a few supplies, but just be prepared that this home doesn’t have any.

Seven of my friends and I attend tennis clinics at Palmetto Dunes almost annually. Over the years we've stayed in condos, stay at the Marriott, and rented a variety of houses. This home exceeded all expectations! It was VERY clean and well stocked when we arrived. The pool was clean and warm. The kitchen was large enough and had every pan / utensil we could needed. The beds were comfortable and the bed/bath ratio was perfect. I loved that there was plenty of outdoor seating to accommodate all of us. A great place to stay - this one requires repeating!!

The house we rented was spotless when we arrived, it’s beautifully furnished, everything incl kitchen is very well equipped and it had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. It really felt like home away from home! We especially enjoyed the large private pool in the nice backyard adjacent to a lagoon/pond (have a look out for the alligators that like to take a sunbath at the edges of the water - but they never disturbed us and kept a safe distance).
The property is very spacious and ideal for families. Only two remarks we have: 1) it would have been nice to have access to the garage (which was closed by the owner) to store our bikes and beach gear - especially when it rained and because there’s no other covered area around the house to store it.
2) The deck in the back and also the outdoor furniture need some pressure washing/deep clean ones in a while.
Other than that it was the perfect vacation, super relaxing and a lot of fun. The short bike ride to the beach is easy and beautiful. And beach access is comfortable.

We enjoyed everything about our stay in this home! We traveled with another family and all 8 of us had room to spread out in this spacious, open floor plan. The pool is large and provided lots of entertainment and with only a short walk or bike ride to the beach, the location is hard to beat! The home was exceptionally clean, updated with modern furnishings and had a well-stocked kitchen with all the equipment and dishes to serve large group meals! You won't be disappointed with this property! We hope to be back!

2 Down Wind is located inside the North Gate of Palmetto Dunes. Upon entering the gate, you will head north on Mooring Buoy and merge left onto Sea Lane. After that take a left on Port Tack and stay left until you see Down Wind on your right. It is a quick drive to the heart of Palmetto Dunes Resort with Hilton Head Outfitters Shop, Palmetto Dunes General Store, Alexander’s Restaurant and more. The spacious kitchen is updated with Quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and wood flooring while coming fully-equipped to meet your culinary needs.
