The floors upstairs, the washer and dryer, and the cabinets doors are all really squeaky. The mattress in the bedroom not of the best quality either.
Overall, these were not enough to spoil our vacation, because we only had people sleeping upstairs for 3 nights, but for future family travels I would likely look into a more updated unit in the resort.
The staff was also really great! We had been previously at other similar resort properties and were met by dull unhappy customer service representatives who were quick to point out the list of our responsibilities rather than privileges of being there. NOT HERE at Palmetto Dunes!! The front desk staff was super kind and cheerful offering a really speedy check in, welcoming us with 4 discount cards to the resort amenities and kingly reminding us to put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher at our departure. No other rules and regulations!! It was great!!
We will sure come back to Palmetto Dunes, God’s willing!

218 Turnberry Village is located through the South Gate and then the first right onto Carnoustie Road. Follow down this road and the Turnberry Village entrance will be on the left across from Inverness Village. The distance to the beach is a little less than a mile by a nice bike ride or you can use the free seasonal Dunes Buggy Shuttle. It is a quick drive to the heart of Palmetto Dunes Resort with Hilton Head Outfitters Shop, Palmetto Dunes General Store, Alexander’s Restaurant and more.

Entrance of Turnberry Community [33]You'll love your stay at this two bedroom villa in Turnberry Village! The kitchen has been fully renovated with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, while also being fully-stocked to meet your family's cooking needs. The dining area formally seats six, with bar seating for an additional three. The living room is adjacent to the kitchen and dining areas and features an HDTV, comfortable furniture and a slider to your private deck. Rounding out the first floor is the primary bedroom with a King Size bed, HDTV, and a full size laundry room/closet. The downstairs bathroom consists of an updated granite vanity and walk-in shower. Heading upstairs, you come upon the loft with its two twin beds. Bedroom 2 features a King bed and HDTV. This bedroom and the loft twin beds share a bathroom. The bathroom has a tiled tub and shower combination. New luxury vinyl planks have been installed throughout the villa along with new carpeting. Outside on your private deck you'll enjoy outdoor dining with excellent views of the fairways and a tee box of the George Fazio Golf Course! The beach can be accessed by a couple minute drive to the Dunes House, 15 minutes by bike or by calling the seasonal Dunes Buggy Shuttle which is an on-demand resort shuttle!
