Reviewed on 2024-06-30 by Cyndi V. , Appleton , WI USOverall the stay was five star!! Our rental was clean and comfortable! The kitchen was so well stocked with cooking equipment that we were able to make several meals onsite!
We did have one maintenance issue with a non flushing toilet upon over arrival which was late on a Saturday night. Maintenance was at our door Sunday morning and had it fixed quickly!
The pool was wonderful and used often by our teens. Proximity to the ocean was fabulous that we could spend time down there and quickly and easily walk back to our rental when needed.
The one caution I would have about the property for any light sleepers is the noise from the tree frogs at night could be heard in our room. It was so loud the first night! By the second night we turned on noise apps and fans to cancel it out. For such small creatures they can really make a riot when they all sing together!
This was out second trip to a Palmetto Dunes property and will certainly be back for more!!!

Follow down Queens Folly Road and through the South Gate make the first possible left into Villamare. Conveniently located, leave the car parked and walk or bike to the beach, oceanfront pool, or other amenities located at the heart of the Palmetto Dunes Resort, including the Palmetto Dunes General Store, Alexander’s Restaurant, Hilton Head Outfitters Shop, and much more.

Recently refreshed throughout 2026, this inviting retreat features new living room and bedroom furniture, updated bedding, and an updated primary bathroom, making it an ideal getaway for families and friends.
The fully equipped kitchen offers custom cabinetry and granite countertops and opens seamlessly to the dining and living areas for easy gathering. The dining table comfortably seats six, with additional bar seating for casual meals or morning coffee. The living room has been updated with new furnishings and décor, creating a comfortable and welcoming space to relax after a day at the beach.
The primary bedroom features a king-size bed and a private en-suite bathroom that has been recently updated with a double vanity and a spacious walk-in shower. The guest bedroom includes two queen-size beds along with a full/Twin bunk bed, perfect for larger families. The guest en-suite bathroom offers an updated vanity and a tiled tub and shower combination.
This condo is ideally situated within Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, providing easy access to the beach, resort amenities, and scenic surroundings for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Villamare offers an exceptional oceanfront experience with recently renovated amenities, including a saltwater family pool and spa, an adults-only pool for guests 21+, and a year-round heated indoor pool and spa. Additional amenities include a fitness center, sauna, oceanview sun decks, gas grilling stations, a fire pit, private beach access, covered and uncovered parking, and elevator access to all floors. Outdoor pools are heated from March 15 through May 1 and October 15 through December 1, while the indoor pool and hot tub are heated year-round.
*Villamare stucco repair and paint project will take place from September 2025 through March 2026, with dates subject to change. Work will occur in phases by building and section, and guests may see scaffolding near living room windows and balconies. Some daytime construction noise is possible, and parking availability may be limited in certain areas during this time.
*A beach renourishment project conducted by Hilton Head Island and Beaufort County is scheduled from mid-November 2025 through mid-March 2026. This project supports shoreline protection and helps maintain a wide, beautiful beach for guests to enjoy.
