Reviewed on 2022-01-09 by , OAKTON, VA USThe house is located in a serene setting. It is very close to a common swimming pool but since it wasn’t warm enough, I didn’t see anyone in the pool.
There is access to the beach available with a short walk, but we ended up driving to The Dunes House everyday to access it, which is a 2 min drive and has parking available.
The complimentary 2 hour tennis/pickle ball sessions, golf range, convenience store, bike rental - all within the premises were awesome. Everything was well maintained and we loved the holiday decorations through the resort.
The resort itself was located right in the middle of everything. Activities outside the resort were a short drive away.
I cannot wait to come back for another HH holiday and stay at the same property.

34 Water Oak is located through the North Gate down Mooring Buoy then the second left onto Haul Away with the Water Oak complex entrance sign second on the left. Water Oak is right on the Robert Trent Jones Golf course within the Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. It's a very short distance to the heart of Palmetto Dunes Resort featuring Hilton Head Outfitters Shop, Palmetto Dunes General Store, Alexander's Restaurant and more. The beach is a short 10 minute walk or bike ride away.
