2 - very close to a shopping center with grocery store, a local park, more restaurants & shops
3 - in Oct parking at the unit was not a problem and easy drive to the Pickleball courts
4 - Walking around marina/water area was wonderful morning & evening
5 - this was one of the few rentals accepting pets, very grateful
6 - a basic package of bath towels & toiletries, kitchen towels, paper towels, dishsoap & sponge were included
The cons -
1 - I don't think the owners are getting their moneys worth from the cleaning service. There was toothpaste on the master sink, dusty/dirt hanging off the sofa & I wouldn't use the washer because when I opened the door, it was musty with water, gunk & even a penny sitting in the gasket. Please know these weren't deal breakers for me, but I was disappointed and have pics if the owner is interested and I was charged a pretty hefty cleaning fee upon booking. We travel alot & have seen this stuff before, but I thought this was a pricey rental to have these issues.
2 - the wood steps to the second floor are narrow & anyone with mobility issues needs to be cautious, the handrail is solid but I wanted to point that out
3 - during off season you pay a resort fee, but there is no shuttle & trying to park at the Dunes House for beach access was impossible
4 - I signed up for Palmetto Dunes text service but never received one message during our week long stay. On the last day, through another guest, I found out there may have been an "on-call" shuttle we could've used -- it would've been nice to get that info in a text or email.
5 - The listing should state they have a traditional coffee maker. We brought K cups, but found ourselves in the grocery store buying a 50 pack coffee filter (smallest available)& coffee. We left the extras there.

7162 Harbourside II is located at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina which is mid-island across from Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. Turn right into the Shelter Cove entrance from Hwy 278 and follow this road until you reach a circle, go around the circle and Harbourside II is on the right. Harbourside villas offer sweeping views of the Shelter Cove Marina and are walking distance to waterfront dining, shopping, and entertainment. The beach is accessed within Palmetto Dunes with a couple minute drive or by calling the seasonal, on-call shuttle service The Palmetto Dunes Buggy.

Entry of Shelter Cove Harbour [33]This beautiful two bedroom and two and a half bathroom villa has lots of updates! The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with everything your family needs. The living room and dining areas have been tastefully updated and feature wood floors throughout with the living room providing a slider to the private balcony. The Primary suite consists of a king bed, flat screen tv and private sitting area with a built-in wine cooler. The en-suite and spacious Primary bathroom has a double vanity and tiled walk-in shower. The guest bedroom consists of a queen bed with TV. The guest bathroom has been updated with a tiled tub and shower combination. Located within the Shelter Cove Harbour section of Palmetto Dunes, the Marina with all of its restaurants, shops and activities will be at your fingertips. This vacation rental is pet-friendly between October 1 through March 31 for an additional charge. No pets are permitted between April 1 through September 30. Our pet policy only allows one dog per rental unit with a maximum weight of 40 pounds. Other restrictions may apply.
